Ashura, Passion of Christ and Queer as Folk.
According to Queer as Folk season 4's sixth trailer, it seems in fourth season Justin will establish a group for defending people of Liberty Avenue from bashers. In this promo he said "We are standing up for ourselves. What's wrong with that?". These days are Muharram in Iran. The month that Shiites mourn death of Imam Hussein. Who although knew that he will killed, risk his life for his idea. Importance of martyrdom is an ancient Persian rite and philosophy. Shiite Muharram is a combination of Persian mourning for Siavash and Islam. It's about another way of fighting with oppression. Fighting through love. You can kill a hero, but you can't kill a myth. Recent Mel Gibson's Passion of Christ is also about this way of fighting with oppression. Fighting with love. But what is most suitable approach for our time and our problem. Recent battle for gay marriage proved that despite all slogans, even in United States majority of people are homophobe. I don't think that Justin's approach works. Maybe being minority has its own advantages. In most societies minorities are more successful that majority. Offcourse we must defend our rights but doing this roughly is not a good idea. Let us do it our way, queer way. As Billy Crystal said during academy awards ceremony: Jack Valenti's worst nightmare is a slightly gay pirate. People love Queer as folk, Queer eye for straight guy and many other gay shows, because gays are so sweet and charming (our WMD!), and that’s the way we can fight homophobes not with weapon. Also because season 4 is the last season of queer as folk, which is officially announced, I just wish that they don't intend to get rid of Justin this way and end the series like UK version with a "Brian/Michael lived happily ever after".

... I think Frank Herbert's Dune is loosely based on Shiite culture and after watching Scie Fi Series and its sequel I think that maybe it shows us from another point of view.
... And Lord of the Rings trilogy trailer. With a brief shot of Saruman that I didn't see until now (Maybe from extended edition of Return of the King). (Beware: its 74MB!!!)
... And Syberia 2 demo released. It doesn't reveal anything about story, but graphic and music are beautiful.
... Also Beyond Divinity Demo released today. Maybe it doesn't seem important, but as I wrote in one of my past posts, divine divinity and fallout 2 are two of few games that let you approach to a male character with gay intentions. Thank you Larian. You are great. (PS: After playing demo I wonder why recent demos are so short. Original Divine Divinity demo has around 10 to 12 hours of gameplay, but this one only last 2 hours! I wish in final version its at least as long as Divine Divinity.)
... And Uruviel's Argonath has two clips from the winning of academy awards by Peter Jackson and Return of the King.
... And The Gully has an interview with an Iranian lesbian blogger. Did you ever wonder how much our dreams, our lives and our problems are like each other?
